   2. To understand and sing “ Let’s chant’’.
   3. To sing the song “ Wenkend’’.

  Step 1 Preparation
1.      Let’s sing
a.T plays the song “ Weekend’’, Ss first listen and then follow the tape.
b. T explains Saturday and Sunday is called weekend.
2.Revise the phrases: watch TV  do homework  read books
      Play football  play computer games
3.Free talk
 a. T: What do you do on the weekend ?
   S1:I often …
b.Let the Ss work in pairs and then check two pairs.
Step 2 Presentation
1.      Teach “ visit grandparents ”
a.T shows the grandparents’ picture, and says: Look! They are my
grandparents and I often visit grandparents on the weekend. At the
same time, show the teaching pictures and stick it on the Bb.
b.Ask the Ss to read “visit grandparents” after me and then read in
Parts and finally get individual Ss to read.
c.Spell and write “ visit grandparents” on the Bb.
 2.Teach “ climb mountains  go shopping  go hiking  play the piano”
  In the same way.
3.Read the verb word cards one by one.
4.A game: 学生四人一组,用动词卡片“出牌”,翻开牌面后,根据
牌面上的图画说:On the weekend I go hiking ./I climb mountains on the weekend. 等。牌面相同的人即为朋友,互相击掌说:Let’s go together!然后继续下一轮游戏。
Step 3 Practice
1.      Listen to the tape
a.       Listen and point.
b.      Listen, point and repeat.
c.       Read by themselves and then check some Ss.
2.      a.Let the Ss ask and answer in three like this:

T:How about you ?

 b.check two groups.
3.Let’s chant.
  a.Just listen for the first time.
  b.Listen and chant together.
Step 4 Production
1.      Make a survery by using the sentences:
